Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor Technology (MBBR )
We operate and maintain your MBBR-based treatment plant for consistent performance, clean water output, and long-term reliability.
MBBR stands for Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor. It’s an advanced biological process that uses special plastic media to grow helpful bacteria which eat the waste in sewage water.
These media float inside the tank and move freely with air bubbles. They clean the water while taking up less space than traditional systems—and they don’t clog!
How MBBR Works
Sewage Enters: Raw water enters the treatment tank.
Air Is Injected: Blowers send air to keep media moving.
Bacteria Eat Waste: Helpful bacteria grow on the media and break down the waste.
Settling & Clarification: Clean water is separated from sludge.
Treated Water Exits: Water is disinfected and released or reused.
Benefits of MBBR Technology:
Compact and space-saving
Great for biological load handling
Clog-free system (no sludge return)
Low odor, low maintenance
Easily scalable for future capacity
